Who was Giovanni supposed to be related to?

I think he’s one of Lois’ sister’s son.

I do not know if Lois had any sisters so maybe it is her brother’s son.

Actually Gio, had a different last name than Lois does. Something like Palmeri (may have it spelled wrong). He said his mother was the better violinist. When he arrived at the church and asked Joss if Sonny would be there, I thought he would be a godson of Sonny’s. It was also a guarantee that Joss would not be interested in him. I noticed that Gio did smile as precious Violet sang her song.

I assumed he was Carmine and Gloria s Grandson. The casting announcement refered to him as Giovanni Cerullo but on screen he was refered to by another last name which sucks because i was hoping for more Cerullo on screen

I think the term uncle is honorary, I don’t think they are blood related. My best friends kids called me aunt, and my kids had friends who called me mom.

I must have missed hearing exactly how Gio is related. I thought his mother was Lois’s cousin on the Cerullo side. His connection does not really matter. I know he will be on next week, but not sure about another new character.

I thought I heard Lois’s cousin, and Brooklyn introduced him as her 2nd cousin. Brooklyn calls Sonny Uncle, too, but they aren’t related.

I’m a somewhat new viewer and so Lois has been new to me. I like her a lot. I’d love to see what her siblings are like!

I’m a pretty new viewer myself. I’ve only been watching since April 2022.

I usually ask here, either in an existing thread or I make a new one of my own. Or I go to Google and search the character. Each character has their own wiki page that gives you their backstory as well as their relationships to other characters.

Lois or Brooklyn said he is a 2nd cousin once removed…then she said, or something like that’. Therefore he is not Lois’ nephew. That would make him, simply, Brooklyn’s cousin…and he isn’t (or at least she didn’t say he was)
